In CSI HOUSTON: Advanced Forensics for the Budding Criminologist, students will explore the exciting world of forensic science like professionals by completing sophisticated, hands-on labs.

We will use techniques that real criminologists use to solve their toughest cases, including DNA gel electrophoresis devices to create DNA fingerprints, blood-spatter analysis techniques to determine the height and velocity blood traveled, gunshot residue tests to detect which suspect(s) may have handled a firearm, and even a luminol blood screen that uses chemiluminescence to uncover traces of blood left at a crime scene!

In addition, crime lab computer software will be used to create composites of possible suspects to help narrow the search and crack the case.
