Summer Science Class Description (For Incoming 8th - 10th Graders)
“IPC Readiness Workshop” - Integrated Physics & Chemistry

The purpose of this workshop is to allow students the opportunity to further solidify concepts covered in an Advanced Placement science class, as well as get a head start on the IPC or Advanced Placement 8th grade curriculum.

Since IPC is a high school credit class that requires a mid-term and final exam, there is little, if any, review done at the start of the year to keep up with the pace of the class. The first goal of this workshop is to review previously taught curriculum in areas of chemistry and physics to build a strong foundation that will lead to academic success. Secondly, we will begin to work on the first several concepts of the IPC course to bolster student confidence and mastery of the advanced level coursework.
